The INSMA Board is made up of volunteers from across the world who work together to fulfill the main aims of INSMA. To help you decide, below you can find some helpful advice regarding what the activity entails and the criteria needed to become an INSMA board member. On the bottom of this page, you can find the application form required to nominate yourself or someone else in election years.

As INSMA undertakes various work and projects, depending on the competencies of the Board at any given time, specific competencies and skills may be required. Such areas could include: legal knowledge of the industry; practitioner based competencies; research, event management, facility and operational; financial skills; grant applications etc.
All meetings and correspondence undertaken by INSMA are in English; hence, all Board members should have good verbal and written English skills.
Attend all board meetings in a calendar year.
Help in organise and co-ordinate key INSMA events, such as Annual INSMA Conference, INSMA Student Seminars, INSMA Webinars, etc.
Help writing the Annual Report that is presented in the AGM every year.
Report back to the board regarding development and progress of assigned individual projects on a consistent basis.
The position will be for a period of 4 calendar years, ending on December 31, 2027. The Vice-President (ESG) will be in-charge to implement the sustainability and governance objectives of the Organisation. The position is voluntary and will require a commitment of 2 hours per month.
The position will be for a period of 4 calendar years, ending on December 31, 2027. The Executive Member (Institutional) will represent the interest of Institutional Members to the Governing Body of the Organisation. The position is voluntary and will require a commitment of 2 hours per month.
The position will be for a period of 4 calendar years, ending on December 31, 2027. The Executive Member (Corporate) will represent the interest of Corporate Members to the Governing Body of the Organisation. The position is voluntary and will require a commitment of 2 hours per month.
